Love and loss are inevitable emotions, which everyone deals with over time. In order to love, one must accept the potential of loss. It’s sorrow that makes love more poignant. I’m proud to have two poems in a new anthology focusing on these important topics: What is All This Sweet Work?: A Poetry Anthology About Love and Loss, out now from Vita Brevis Press. Both my poems focus on loss (you’re shocked, right?). “The Weight of My Being” is about grieving a loved one and “Shadow of My Former Self” centers on the loss of love. Copies are available in paperback and e-book from Vita Brevis on Amazon.

My poem “Life Line” explores my experience with chemotherapy treatment and the weight of illness…

I made a commitment to submit more, and with that comes more good news to share. More rejections too — but without those, would there be any acceptances? To hear your yes, you have to hear your no. So, check back here to see some of my upcoming yays, along with sneak peeks at future projects and plans. Let’s share more in 2022/2023. Are you ready?
